Opening Up the Mystery Hive

Quick recap: a large hive was split into four hives, which was winnowed to three. Two of these were requeened with queens from B. Weaver. One took, but the other (this hive) did not seem to take. A frame was placed in this hive in order to allow the bees to make their own queen. But they didn’t, which indicated that a queen was present. But where? I only saw a few eggs the last time I looked. As in maybe a dozen on one frame. Over the past few weeks, I had seen a lot of activity–bees coming in and out. But the nature of the activity was suspicious for robbing. A lot of hovering bees flying raggedly around the hive opening. So today I finally took a look to see what is going on in this mystery hive. (This was actually filmed in 720p, I apologize about the upload quality. I might redo it later).
