Spring is in the Air

A poem by Suzanne Hayasaki, a friend who lives in Itoshima

Honey Love

Hey there busy bee!
Let me take you home.
I will be your honey bee
If you will be my drone.

I’m fresh as tulip pollen
I’m frisky as a breeze.
Come and take a flight with me,
Among these apple trees.

The whole world’s coming back to life.
The birds are building nests.
And upon this fateful mating night
My reign as queen bee rests.

So lay down all your troubles.
Leave behind your cares.
Fulfill your purpose here and now.
Make love to me mid-air.

I will take your seed from you
And then find another bee.
You will find eternal rest.
Our love will set you free.

So come with me my buzzy bee.
Let’s fly among the stars.
I’ll show you paradise tonight.
Wrapped in my four strong arms.
