A Visit to Brushy Mountain Bee Farm

Screened bottom boards

At the beginning of the year, I attended the North American meeting of the American Beekeeping Federation Conference and Tradeshow held in Hershey, Pennsylvania. I flew there from Fukuoka, Japan, where I am still working as and associate professor teaching courses in biology, ecology, population biology, and evolution in Kyushu University’s International Undergraduate Education program. After the meetings ended, I took the bus tour and the first place we visited was Brushy Mountain Bee Farm, a beekeeping equipment supply company in Pennsylvania. The above photographs were taken during our tour of the facility.
